Rules

• Dollar figures need a source in the same article (agency, marketplace, manufacturer, or a named study). Other blogs are not sources.
• Ranges beat fake precision. Install prices vary by climate, labor, and existing ductwork.
• If we have not done the job, we say so. No composite “we installed this last winter” stories.
• Aging-in-place pages stay on the house (grab bars, showers, stairs). They do not diagnose or recommend treatment.
• Energy and backup pages do not promise bill savings. They show the inputs (rates, climate, existing equipment) that decide whether savings exist.

What “done” means

The post has a decision framework, a “what a good quote includes” section, links to primary sources, and enough length to stand as a guide — not a bullet list with a kicker. It can ship without affiliate tags.
